This is the room Calamity could only have wished for.  It is quite romantic and many a honeymooner and others have found it perfect for their special occasion.  Calamity loved the country comfort, French wallpaper, Currier & Ives prints and period pieces that give this room it’s character and carries her name.  The view from your private balcony is lovely, especially on a crisp morning when mist rises over the pond.  At night, the stars have an incredible dazzle - a perfect ending to a perfect day.

Calamity stopped by to say “Howdy” on her way from Richmond where she’d been visiting her little Janie.  Did she ever love this room.  “Why, I never seen anything so pretty,” she said.  “Slept like a baby.”  Then she was gone, back to Deadwood.  Left her fancy red fringe jacket and boots parked on the back of a chair, right where you will find them.
